i just read that hydras eat small microbs in the water. didn't really say anything about fry. what can happen? its in my tank that have tropheus ilangi, should i be concerned?

They will sting and eat the fry. But I think it depends on how big the fry are.

Well I used flubendazole, which is not only expensive but it killed my fry and 2 more batches afterwards until I realized I didnt use carbon to get rid of traces of it. But it killed the hydra in 24 hours! I have some spixi snails which I read eat hydra but I havent had a chance to find out since I havent had a recurrence.

Gourami eat them but they may eat your fry too.
