I'd carpool down to Tucson if only for a meeting and to visit ANA :)

        Re: Calliing out Tuconian's

Let's get the ball rolling on this...

What dates/times work best for folks? I would imagine that for the majority of us Saturday or Sunday would be more convenient. I know that the ARK club has meetings at a resuarant so we could have the first meeting at say Beyond Bread on Campbell. It's centrally located and right across the street from ANA; that way if folks from Phoenix do come down they can head there afterwards and the rest of us could follow suit to get any plants/misc. that wasn't offered during the meeting.

How does this sound? Anyone have other suggestions or ideas to make this really happen?

        Look forward to more input,
        Lee

You know, and I am new to this forum, but there is allready a very active club in Tucson for aquatic plant layout. They have about 60 members and meet twice a
month at members homes. Maybe you should try and meet up with some of the members to see where they are meeting next.

The only club I know of in town is DAS and they meet at Fish and Game. Is that what you're talking about? I have yet to check out one of their meetings, but perhaps it's time. Looks like they are having a meeting this coming Sunday. Maybe those of you that have replied here would like to go if you haven't already?

I'm part of a scooter club here and we have taken over many tables at this particular location with no problems. However, you could be right. I haven't exactly attempted to smuggle in plants and fish. Ha!

Awesome! You know what they say... "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission"! :)

no, i know of the Desert Aquarist Society, but this is a different group. I was only allowed to one of the meetings and the dues are high. I went to one of the lectures they gave at U of A this fall and it was extremely informative. I think ANA could tell you more as they all shop there. The club started as a leg of that store a year and a half ago. I know there is a trip to Japan planned for next summer

I still have a couple tanks I need to set up at my house but once they are up I wouldn't mind having it at my house. In the mean time beyond bread sounds great!
